Just Like That, I am Back

Image
If I said I was back, would you believe me? Blogging is complicated, and there are so many "get rich quick" blogging schemes that make it look like you are a lost cause if you are not currently earning money blogging. And why are you even blogging if you don't have multiple streams of income and entertainment. If you don't have a brand? I do have this website, but I do not have Instagram, Twitter, TikTok (you don't want to see me dance), or whatever is next.  Heck, I haven't even updated this since before the pandemic. So why am I here, writing about being back and then, probably ghosting for another two years? Life has been rough. It's been painful and overwhelming. I am so thankful for you my readers, or what is left of you. I am so thankful you are reading this post. I am so thankful that you are still committed to making the world a more exciting and more sustainable place.  Keep up-cycling my friends, and you never know, I might be back again with an

I Made Shorts

Image
Sometimes there is another website that just makes you drool. One that you religiously check daily and swoon over everything they do. For me that website is MADE: I love this site and wish I could be as talented and creative as Dana. So this week I tried one of her patterns. I am not a pattern maker because I just would never have the time and ability to work out the measurements. I am in great awe of anyone who can make such amazing things and on top of that create a pattern for them. I used this pattern: I added in the pockets from her Kids Pants with Pockets tutorial: And we have C2's new shorts: Till Next time! Creat something!

Oilcloth Bag Tutorial

If you missed it I wanted to make sure you got a chance to check out the Summer bag tutorial I did for: When I think of picnic's I immediately think of having a picnic on the beach! What do you need for a picnic on the beach? Well a GIANT beach bag of course. I have two little ones (the illustrious C1 and C2) and they require a lot of beachy supplies. I mean you need towels, swim diapres, changes of clothes, plastic bags, and sunscreen to name a few things. Your average everyday tote does not have enough room so I decided to creat a giant oilcloth bag to tote around the goods. You will need: Oilcloth - Mine was very uneven because I used it for another project about a year ago Sewing Machine Two Yards of Strap Material Scissors Ruler So Lets get started: That was easy! Thank you so Kimberly for letting me stop by

Upcycled Awesome #51

It's Upcycled Awesome time. Here is the thing as much as I love a good upcycled project I also want to include a little stashbusting magic. I know I have quite the stash I am trying to get through and I would love if you would post your stashbusting projects as well as your amazing upcycled projects. Post as many entries as you like! The more upcycled and stashbusting links the better in my opinion. Not that my linky party is really all that different from any other party out there, but I do have a few easy rules: Find your favorite Upcycled art project and share it with our readers. Stashbusting projects are also welcome to be posted during this linky as well What is an upcycled art project? Take something old and make it new again, a T-shirt that you stained, a picture frame that was about to be tossed, upcycling is all about taking the old and making it new again. Add a link below to a specific blog post not your main blog address Grab a party button and pop it up on

Where Do You Sell Your Crafty Goodness?

Image
It's hard being a blogger, a momma, and trying to get your crafty business of the ground. So I wanted to know where do you sell your crafty goodness? I sell at one store currently: Crafty Goodness in Cleveland Ohio I would sell at more stores but I never seem to get around to making enou gh product to shop around. I know I am a slacker. I do have an ETSY site : http://www.etsy.com/shop/tshirtdiaries but I haven't gotten any products put up.  I am just not happy with my pictures so I don't list, which means I don't sell, and well I really don't have a store then do I. I am a regular at a lot of craft shows. But I have to say by the time I get a babysitter and pay the entrance into the event it's really hit or miss as to what profit if any I make. So what are your suggestions. How do you sell your crafts, what is your favorite method, are you a craft show groupie or shopping your wares at local co-op stores? Do you use and sell via ETSY, or j

Random Good Times - Ode to the PTA

I make it no secret, I am a PTA mom and no one knows how to party like a PTA mom! I like the company of other mommas who are trying to raise their wonderful kidlets and have fun doing it. I like the adventures that they get to go on. I like the experiences they enjoy. Mostly I LOVE the lifelong friends they are making.
